Macy’s has appointed Alexandre Choueiri as Chief Executive Officer of beauty retail chain Bluemercury. Choueiri will join the company on August 3, 2026, reporting directly to Olivier Bron, Chief Executive Officer of Bloomingdale’s. In this role, Choueiri will lead Bluemercury’s overall business and growth strategy.
Choueiri brings more than 25 years of global luxury beauty experience spanning North America, Europe and Asia. Most recently, he served as Chief Executive Officer & President, Americas, at Kering Beauté, where he led the group’s largest region, strengthened Creed’s position in luxury fragrance and helped launch new fragrance brands, including Bottega Veneta and Balenciaga. Prior to Kering Beauté, Choueiri spent more than two decades at L’Oréal in a series of leadership roles, including Global President of Ralph Lauren Fragrances. Earlier in his career, he worked as a strategy consultant with Bain & Company in France and Australia.

He knows how to inspire teams, build culture and drive results and I am confident he is ideally suited to build on Bluemercury’s momentum and lead its next phase of growth,” commented Olivier Bron.
As he assumes his new role, Choueiri will continue to be based in New York City, where he resides with his family.
