The German company, which produces nearly 20 million shopping bags and 5 million boxes every year, has unveiled its newest innovation on the occasion of the latest edition of the Pack & Gift tradeshow, which was held in Paris on 4-5 June 2014. The "Luxury Carrier Box " (patent pending) combines the practicality of a shopping bag with the sturdy protective qualities of a box. “A true tow-in-one system,” highlights Leander Kritokos, Procos’ founder and president.

Environmentally-friendly

Besides its elegant design, the “Luxury Carrier Box” offers, according to Procos, a wide range of practical advantages with a focus on the environment:

Space-saving: thanks to its folding system,
Cost reduction: thanks to its dual function - box and bag - allowing a reduction in confection costs compared with a separate production of a box and a bag,
Sustainability: thanks to a significant reduction of material consumption and wastage,
Second life : potential domestic storage unit for the consumer.

"We can save up to 50% materials, compared to a box and bag combination, and at a lower cost," says Leander Kritikos.

Easy to use

The practicality of this coffret-in-a-bag was also carefully studied, both for transport, storage or assembly. Laid flat at delivery, it can be easily built thanks to the stickers or magnets provided for assembling the box.

The bag’s handle is fully customizable, including its material (cord or ribbon), its colour and type of fabrics, thus adapting to the customer’s preferences (carried on shoulder or hand).
