Lucas Meyer Cosmetics, the business unit of Unipex Group which develops, manufactures and markets active and functional ingredients as well as delivery systems for the cosmetic and personal care industry, will showcase two new active ingredients, Elix-IR and Phytenso, at the next edition of In-Cosmetics, which will be held in Paris from 16 to 18 April 2013.

In-Cosmetics, 2012

Elix-IR is a botanical active ingredient designed to fight Infra’aging (infrared-induced skin aging). “A breakthrough concept in skin photoprotection and photoaging,” claims the company. Complementary to classical UV protection, Elix-IR inhibits the cathepsin G enzyme thus reducing IR-, UV-, heat-induced MMPs (matrix metalloproteinases) production and fibre degradation.

Phytenso is a natural and soft hair straightener proposed as an alternative to “aggressive chemical relaxers”. Phytenso has been designed to fight frizz, lock out humidity and improve hair’s manageability.

Lucas Meyer Cosmetics will also be presenting its new concept, So’ Buttery, four new textures containing ultra-high up to 18%) vegetable butter content.
