Law firm investigates toxic ingredients in baby bath products

Seattle-based law firm Keller Rohrback L.L.P. announced its investigation of baby shampoos and other products that may contain toxic ingredients. This action is followinga study conducted by the Campaign For Safe Cosmetics (CSC), which tested a series of baby personal care products for the carcinogens formaldehyde and 1,4-dioxane.

Last month (March 19), Hagens Berman Sobol Shapiro (HBSS) filed a class-action law suit in the District Court of Chicago.

According to the Personal Care Products Council (PCPC), the US industry body, the “levels of the two chemicals the group reportedly found are considered to be "trace" or extremely low, are well below established regulatory limits or safety thresholds, and are not a cause for health concern”.
