The two-storey space plays on the brand’s philosophy of happiness, generosity, femininity, empowerment, trust and togetherness. It is open 7 days a week, until 9:30 pm, and employs 23 employees. It includes an ephemeral pop-up exhibition space, featuring a triple-height ceiling decorated with hanging rose petals (the brand’s symbol), that will change five times per year.

Customisation

The new flagship shop, offers all of the Lancôme products, including skincare, makeup and perfumes. Product personalization is placed at the heart of the shopping experience, in particular with Le Teint Particulier: a beauty advisor scans and analyses the customer’s skin. Once the correct shade is defined, the customer can watch as a unique formula is prepared specifically for her. It is also possible to engrave a bottle of perfume or lipstick with a customized inscription.

"This new venue is a true home of beauty and happiness, where our guests are invited to experience and delve into what the brand has to offer in terms of beauty products, services, personalization, gifting and technology," said Françoise Lehmann, Global President, Lancôme. "Most importantly of all we want them to leave feeling happy. We want this flagship to become a "must-see" and an iconic beauty address for Parisians and tourists of the world alike."

Another flagship in China next year

The move rounds out a big year for Lancôme, which has added the megastars Amanda Seyfried and Zendaya to its family of famous ambassadors in the last 12 months. 2019 has also seen the brand launch a makeup collaboration with the influencer Chiara Ferragni, roll out a new fragrance, ‘Idôle,’ and expand its philanthropic female literacy program ‘Write Her Future’ in the US.

The brand has also scheduled the opening of another flagship in Beijing, China, next year.
