“We wanted to put an end to preconceived ideas about organic cosmetics, and offer consumers the possibility to discover the new age of the organic movement, which cultivates performance and sensoriality,” COSMEBIO Development Director Betty Santonnat explains.
Seven or eight retail-size cosmetic products are selected to make each of the three versions, and wrapped into an organic cotton pouch: the “Féminine” version includes skincare, perfume and makeup, the “Familiale” version comprises children skincare products, and the “Soins” version is exclusively composed of face care cosmetics. The products are only unveiled when opening the box.
Eighteen COSMEBIO-labelled brands have participated in the first series, including Cinq Mondes, Les Fleurs de Bach, Bo Ho, K pour Karité, LC Bio, Algovital…
The 9,000 boxes of the first two versions had been available without any subscription for €29.90 (+ €3 for shipping costs) since last July, and they are already out of stock. The “Soins” box will be available as from October throughout the France Loisirs network, a partner of Ma Boîte à Beauté.
Renewed versions are expected for the beginning of 2015.
