Knoll Packaging has been shortlisted for Innovation of the Year and Limited Edition of the Year at the 2021 UK Packaging Awards for the 2020 Penhaligon’s Advent Calendar. The winners will be announced on November 12 in London.

The advent calendar is uniquely shaped like the Penhaligon’s iconic fragrance and is made from all FSC board and papers. Printed in the custom Penhaligon’s color with a combination of four colour print, hot-stamping and embossing, its festive graphics features the Penhaligon’s van delivering scented gifts around the city streets.

Exemplifying its technical expertise, Knoll Packaging was able to take up the challenge of making this advent calendar entirely out of cardboard and optimizing the format to integrate the 24 perfumes and ancillaries inside. The quality and rigidity of the materials and Knoll’s expertise in round paper board constructions make this new shape of packaging a real showstopper.

We are thrilled that Penhaligon’s trusted our global team to bring such a complex design to life, and it’s an honour to now be recognized by the UK packaging community for our work. This project required an extraordinary amount of collaboration to bring the brand’s iconic bottle shape to life in an over-sized advent calendar. A high-level of attention to detail, quality and problem solving were required every-step of the way to achieve the perfect results. Penhaligon’s is such a uniquely British brand, so it is particularly meaningful to see the 2020 advent calendar be celebrated by our peers,” said Jeremy Cohen, CEO and President of Knoll Printing & Packaging, in a statement.

Knoll will present its latest packaging innovations at LuxePack Monaco on September 27-29.
