Knowlton Development Corporation (KDC/ONE) has announced the acquisition of Benchmark Cosmetic Laboratories, a custom formulator serving both established and emerging prestige beauty brands.
The Canada based formulator, developer and manufacturer for the prestige beauty, health, personal care and household sectors thus further solidifies its position in the cosmetics and personal care sectors. Over the past four years, KDC/ONE has experienced rapid growth through the successful completion of eight notable acquisitions, most recently in Europe with the acquisitions of the Alkos Group and of the manufacturing operations of Swallowfield Plc.
Based in Irvine, California, Benchmark specializes in the development and manufacture of skin, hair and sun care products. The company was founded in 2007 by Susan Goldsberry, who will continue as President of Benchmark under the KDC/ONE leadership.
Further to the acquisition of Benchmark, KDC/ONE operates a network of 16 manufacturing sites across North America and Europe. The group has nearly 5,200 employees.
