Interparfums Group, the company behind fragrances for Jimmy Choo, Coach, and Guess, announced on Wednesday, January 28, that it has acquired the fragrance licenses for David Beckham and Nautica.

A new David Beckham fragrance in 2029

Interparfums today announced that it has entered into an exclusive, 20-year worldwide license agreement with David Beckham for the creation, development, production, and distribution of fragrances,” the group said in a statement by Interparfums Inc., the U.S. branch of the fragrance specialist.

“I’m delighted to announce my partnership with Interparfums to evolve my fragrances for the long-term,” said the retired English footballer, quoted in the same release.

“Together with their world-leading team, we will create products that are distinctive and timeless. I can’t wait to get started,” he added.

Interparfums will assume full global responsibility for David Beckham’s fragrances from April 1, 2028. The group expects total annual sales for this new license to exceed USD 50 million in the first few years under its management.

A new “signature” fragrance will be unveiled by the end of 2029.

The head of Authentic Brands Group, which owns the David Beckham brand, said that “given the incredible success” Interparfums has achieved with Guess fragrances, the company is confident it will bring the same level of creativity, quality, and long-term value to the Beckham brand.

A “modern and accessible” range for Nautica

Authentic Brands Group also owns the Nautica lifestyle brand, which was included in a separate and similar agreement announced the same day for the creation, production, and sale of Nautica fragrances for 20 years.

Interparfums aims to achieve annual sales of USD 70 million with this brand in the first few years.

The amounts involved in the acquisition of the two licenses have not been disclosed.

On January 22, the Interparfums group announced a 2.1% increase in sales in 2025 to EUR 899 million and forecasts an operating margin of “between 19 and 19.5%,” despite difficulties in the US market.
