Coty has confirmed that ten Procter & Gamble fragrance licenses will transfer to Coty upon regulatory approval and completion of the merger transaction previously agreed between the two company.

Gucci is one the fragrance licences to be transferred from Procter & Gamble to Coty

Prior agreement from the licensor of each brand involved in the transaction was required to transfer the licences from one company to the other. Ten licensors agreed for the transfer (Hugo Boss, Gucci, Lacoste, Bruno Banani, Escada, Mexx, James Bond, Gabriela Sabatini, Stella McCartney, and Alexander McQueen) and two chose to remain out of the deal (Dolce & Gabbana and Christina Aguilera Perfumes).

According to French daily newspaper Le Figaro, L’Oréal, Puig and Beauté Prestige International (Shiseido) would candidate to the Dolce & Gabbana licence.
