Hotel cosmetics: ADA acquires Scandinavian Amenities

Hotel cosmetics manufacturer ADA Cosmetics International recently took over 100 percent of Danish Scandinavian Amenities A/S (Scanamenities) shares. This acquisition will permit the established German manufacturer of hotel cosmetics to capitalize on the growth potential in the Scandinavian market.

Scanamenities is Scandinavia’s leading provider of hotel cosmetics and, in particular, of dispenser systems for hotels. Since 1986, the company has been supplying products to the hotel industry, airlines, cruise ships and vacation resorts.

This investment lays important groundwork for us to gain a foothold in Scandinavia. We will, however, also harness the expertise of our new subsidiary as well as the sales and marketing synergies to further our expansion in the new markets,” states Wilhelm Könning, CEO of the ADA Group.

The new subsidiary will be integrated in the ADA Group while the Scanamenities brand as well as its portfolio will be incorporated in the current product offering. The Scanamenities management under current CEO Stefan Schmidt will ensure that the business continues on its proven path.
