On Wednesday, May 18th 2016, Gattefossé has officially opened in Tunis its new sales and technical affiliate: Gattefossé Mediterranean.
The opening ceremony was attended by Jacques Moyrand, Gattefossé Group Chairman, Olivier Midler, CEO and Fayçal El Aouni, Gattefossé Mediterranean Director, and representatives of the Tunisian government, the French ambassador to Tunisia, Gattefossé agents and distributors for the Middle East & North Africa (MENA) region, as well as the managers of pharmaceutical and cosmetic laboratories in the region.
“The offices are located in the Berges du Lac II business district, near Tunis. They are a demonstration of Gattefossé’s desire to be firmly anchored in the Arab world and pursue its international expansion, as well as the overall strengthening of the Gattefossé Group’s global presence,” said the group in a release.
The Gattefossé Mediterranean team includes two cosmetic and pharmaceutical technical sales representatives, a pharmaceutical technical support specialist and a sales assistant, reporting directly to the Director.
16 Arabic countries
Gattefossé chose to set up its new affiliate in Tunisia because of its advantageous location close to the headquarters and its application laboratories as well as its geographical situation in the Arab world.
In order to strengthen its influence in the region and grow its business in the 16 countries within its field of action (Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, Libya, Egypt, Jordan, Syria, Iraq, Iran, Kuwait, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Yemen, the United Arab Emirates, Oman, and Lebanon), Gattefossé Mediterranean has made long lasting partnerships with eight agents and distributors. This ensures effective coverage of the region thanks to the close relationships they have established with cosmetics and pharmaceutical laboratories based in this part of the world.
