Founded in Provence in 1747, Galimard is one of the oldest perfume companies in the world. Now an iconic brand in Southern France and abroad, Galimard entrusted to Coverpla the design and development of a generic bottle dedicated to its entire range of fragrances for men and women.

Coverpla’s core business is precisely to create unique branded glass packaging from standard bottles. In order to communicate a brand’s identity and sublimate its codes, the Nice-headquartered company offers a wide range of standard models from the best French and European glassmakers and a wide range of decoration techniques and exclusive caps.

For Galimard and its partner, the challenge was to create a product that stands out while conveying the brand’s traditional and luxury values. As such, the two teams set to work on the personalization exercise, exploiting Coverpla’s large offer.

Galimard eventually chose Coverpla’s Soni design in a 100ml format for its minimal, elongated silhouette and the premium look of its thick base. The choice of caps then allowed the differentiation of each fragrance line: Eaux de parfum and Perfumes for both men and women. The brand chose two different cap designs: one standard model made from zamak decorated in gold or silver and engraved in the mold with a coat of arms, the second injected in crystal Surlyn in Coverpla’s workshops.

Determined to push the personalization even further, Galimard chose to engrave its brand name on the bottle’s lateral side. This operation, monitored by Coverpla, is made by the glassmaker during the finishing mould stage.
