Mane China has announced the construction on Phase II of its Pinghu production facility officially commenced on 31 October 2025. Representing a total investment of USD 70 million (approximately 81 million euros). The 14,000 square-meter expansion project is set to enhance Mane’s manufacturing capabilities in China, with a particular emphasis on fragrances.
“This project underscores Mane’s ongoing commitment to long-term investment in China and the Asia-Pacific region,” said Denis Raffaud, Managing Director - Greater China.
Rising demand for fragrances
In response to steady growth and evolving customer needs in China, Mane has consistently bolstered its local industrial facilities. The inauguration of Phase I of the Pinghu site in June 2023 laid the foundation for the company’s flavor production base in the country.
Mane said the rising demand for fragrances makes Phase II a logical progression in its expansion strategy. This phase will focus on a wide range of fragrance formats and technologies, including liquids, adsorption, spray drying, microencapsulation and macroencapsulation. “Encapsulation technology in particular will be a key feature of this new phase, facilitating long-lasting and stable scent release across various applications.”
Increased production capacity
Completion of the Pinghu Phase II is scheduled in Q3 2027. Upon this date, Mane’s annual production capacity is projected to grow by 17,000 tons, significantly enhancing the group’s ability to serve customers in the Asia-Pacific.
These new capabilities will complement the fine fragrance creation center opened by Mane in China in 2024 and are designed to support the Group’s growth projections for the coming decade.
