Canadian Cosmetic Cluster and Walle Associates, a consulting firm specializing in international development of companies in Canada, have partnered to offer French cosmetic brands an online training workshop on the access to the Canadian beauty market. Another session will also be dedicated to manufacturers of cosmetic ingredients.

The past year has been a challenging time for many companies around the world. The cancellation of tradeshows, international conferences and travel has resulted in companies looking for new opportunities to reach their target audiences. Addressing this growing need, we are launching an International Development Program to facilitate the export of cosmetic raw materials and cosmetics products to Canada,” the two organizers in a statement.

The Canadian Cosmetic Cluster is on the Board of the Global Cosmetic Cluster which is chaired by Cosmetic Valley, its acting president. The Canadian Cosmetic Cluster would like to build upon the Canada-European Union Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA). The trade deal removes tariffs on nearly all goods and services between Canada and Europe and has led to a 15 percent rise in EU exports to Canada.

Anti-aging products, along with innovative and sustainable product design are expected to be the main drivers contributing to the personal care market growth in Canada in 2019-2022. The online retail channels are also a major factor in influencing sales of cosmetics in Canada.

Conducted via a web-based conference, the event will offer two separate programs, one for companies specializing in furnishing raw materials (Monday March 8 and Tuesday 9, 2021) and one for companies selling finished products (Wednesday March 10 and Thursday 11, 2021) - to explore business opportunities in the Canadian Cosmetics Market.

The objective of this event is to provide support in the following areas:

Information on the Canadian Market, Trends, and Consumers
How Cosmetics Products and Raw Materials Distribution Works in Canada
 Route to Market
How to Navigate Canadian Regulatory Guidelines and Procedures – including Canadian Labelling Requirements (bilingual French – English)
How to Connect to Potential Consumers and Social Media Navigation
Canadian Investment Strategies and Opportunities for French companies
