Their idea was to invite thirty buyers or product developers from prestigious French cosmetics brands to attend the tradeshow. Famous professionals, such as Vincent Cazelles (Laboratoires Pierre Fabre), and Michel Fontaine (L’Oréal) or Philippe de Brugière (L’Occitane) participated in the event.

Around ten suppliers of the cosmetics industry were also associated to these meetings with French buyers. Companies such as Cartografica Pusterla, HCT, Oekametall, Rexam, Bormioli Luigi, MReal, Weckerle, Heinz Glas, Bormioli Rocco, sponsored the various events (conferences, diners, cocktails…) organized during the two days of the operation.

It was a plain idea, explains Jean-Yves Bourgeois, who set up the whole operation on behalf of Cosmoprof, the aim was to create a special opportunity for selected French professionals to visit the big international tradeshow of the fragrance and cosmetic industry.”

Mission accomplished, since the unanimity of participants told Premium Beauty News they considered the first edition as a great job. For some of them, it was the occasion to discover or to re-discover, a show that dramatically improved over the last five years, especially in the full-service area.
