Swiss-based fragrance maker Firmenich has appointed ex-L’Oréal and Puig Francesco Riosa to the role of Vice President, Fine Fragrance Europe.

Francesco Riosa joins Firmenich as VP, Fine Fragrance Europe

Francesco began his career at Procter & Gamble in Germany. He then moved to Paris in 1996 to join L’Oréal Luxury as International Product Manager for Giorgio Armani fragrances, where he created and launched the first global Emporio Armani fragrances. He then became European Area Manager for all L’Oréal Luxury, Prestige & Collections fragrances for European Travel Retail. Francesco then moved to Dior Parfums (LVMH), where he took on roles of increasing responsibility, culminating in the position of International Business Development Director Perfumes. In 2012, he joined Prada Fragrances, as General Manager for the Joint Venture between Prada and Puig. During the last five years, he has been Vice President in charge of Global Marketing at Richemont for Panerai.

Mr Riosa holds a Bachelor of Arts in International Political Science from the L.U.I.S.S. University in Rome and a MBA from INSEAD. An Italian national with very strong international experience, he was born in the Middle East, and lives in Paris.
