Fiabila’s new SPF50+ Nude Veil nail care treatment follows on from SPF50+ Base & Top, the first hybrid SPF50+ nail care formula launched in spring 2025. Both a base and top coat, enriched with sun filters and marine antioxidants, this pioneering formula introduced the first UVA/UVB protection specifically designed to prevent physical and chemical alterations of keratin.
SPF50+ Nude Veil is its natural evolution: both a tinted veil and a high-protection SPF50+ nail care.
The new product combines UVA/UVB Nail Guard Tech (2%), a marine antioxidant extract, and the Kera-Shield complex. Its universal nude texture acts as a lightweight film-forming barrier, helping preserve the integrity of the nail matrix, limit keratin photoaging, and naturally enhance the nail surface.
In vitro testing
An in vitro efficacy study conducted by an independent laboratory evaluated the capacity of UVA/UVB Nail Guard Tech to protect nail keratin exposed to simulated solar irradiation equivalent to six days of sun exposure in Europe (18h43 of irradiation). Results showed an 83% reduction in oxidative keratin damage, 68% preservation of structural integrity, and 75% maintenance of total keratin content compared with untreated nails exposed to UV.
Microscopic observations confirmed visibly fewer oxidized proteins, a more homogeneous structure, and better keratin cohesion after exposure.
“These findings demonstrate the protective potential of SPF50+ Nude Veil in preventing nail photoaging,” claims Fiabila.
