Reed Exhibitions has announced that in-cosmetics Asia - initially scheduled to take place on 3-5 November 2020 at BITEC Bangkok - will now be held on 2-4 November 2021 at the same venue.
The organizers explain that despite Thailand’s low number of Covid-19 cases the country remains closed to most foreign visitors “for the foreseeable future”. Considering that most of the show’s enduring success is founded on its visitor appeal throughout Asia-Pacific and the support of exhibitors from across the globe, they consider such travel restrictions to hinder the feasibility and success of the event.
“Postponing in-cosmetics Asia has been a difficult but necessary decision. We understand how key the event is in helping the personal care community showcase and discover new ingredients and innovations, and to meet with existing and new business partners. Whilst we are disappointed that we are unable to run a face-to-face event this year, we are committed to keeping the personal care ingredients community connected,” said Sarah Gibson, in-cosmetics Asia Exhibitions Director.
The show is therefore going virtual this year with a series of webinars focusing on ingredients, formulation and trends as well as the new in-cosmetics Connect information hub. In addition, a digital event will take place on 6-8 October 2020 in order to allow manufacturers and suppliers to gather - virtually - in an exclusive meeting, sourcing, learning and networking environment.
