With its gathering of 1,570 exhibitors, 50% of whom were international, and an attendance of 96,500 professional visitors, 35% of whom were international - from more than 100 countries - the exhibitions confirmed their positioning as key places for innovation for the packaging, processing, printing and handling sectors.

The exhibition indicators are positive and encouraging. Synergies generated by Emballage and Manutention benefit the industry overall,” said Véronique Sestrieres, the exhibitions director. “Business was the order of the day in 2014, marked by the quality of sales leads and commercial transactions and the presence of major buyers, primarily from the EMEA region. Emballage and Manutention have strengthened their positioning as benchmark events.

150 delegates at the Dieline Summit

Launched jointly by the Emballage tradeshow and U.S. website TheDieline.com the first edition of “The Dieline Summit” was held at the Palais des Congrès in Paris on 16 and 17 November. First event of its kind in Europe, this conference brought together the community of professional designers and design leaders to discuss the future of the package design industry, along with the issues designers, consumer packaged goods companies, marketers, consumers, and the world environment are facing. Eventually, 150 delegates, 75% of them coming from outside of France gathered around Andrew Gibbs (creator of TheDieline.com) and Fabrice Peltier (President of INDP) to address a simple question: "What future for Packaging Design?”
