The Swiss provider of beauty and fragrance solutions has launched the latest edition of its flagship sensory platform, Sensorium, in Seoul, spotlighting the growing role of fragrance in shaping the future of K-Beauty.

Taking place from June 22 to July 3, and titled Attention Seoul: Living (In)Visible, the exhibition invites customers, partners and industry leaders in the region to discover how scent is becoming an increasingly powerful force in shaping identity, emotion and human connection.

Hosted in Seoul’s historic Bukchon district, the immersive experience reflects South Korea’s position as a global beauty trendsetter and examines the emergence of fragrance as a cultural and emotional language within the K-Beauty ecosystem.

The experience features original fragrance creations developed by dsm-firmenich perfumers, including Wessel-Jan Kos, Alexandre Freile, and Steve Guo, inspired by Korean consumer olfactive preferences and using ingredients such as Raspberry Smell-The-Taste and Guava NaturePrint.

The exhibition also showcases beauty innovation concepts, including advanced actives, microbiome research, sensory design, and a personalized face diagnosis device, illustrating the integration of science and experience in future beauty development.

According to dsm-firmenich, fragrance is increasingly moving beyond a finishing touch to become a central element of beauty expression, reflecting broader shifts in consumer behavior within the K-Beauty market.

"South Korea continues to set the agenda for global beauty innovation — and fragrance is at the center of that conversation," said Levenza Toh, VP for Southeast Asia, Japan, and Korea. "With Sensorium Seoul, we are responding to a profound shift in consumer behavior: scent is no longer simply a finishing touch. It has become one of the most powerful expressions of individual beauty."
