Dove is turning one of beauty’s most recognizable scents into a fine fragrance. The brand has bottled the signature scent of its iconic bar soap in a limited-edition launch.

Created in collaboration with fragrance developer Ann Gottlieb, the new fragrance translates the familiar scent of the Dove Original Beauty Bar into a wearable format, with a soft, clean and familiar olfactory profile.

The launch also draws on the brand’s heritage through its packaging. The fragrance comes in a glass bottle shaped like the iconic Beauty Bar, topped with a sculptural gold-coloured Dove bird cap. Its price, set at USD 19.57, is a reference to 1957, the year the original Beauty Bar was introduced in the United States.

According to Dove, the initiative follows years of requests from consumers on social media and through direct messages to make the Beauty Bar’s recognizable scent available as a standalone fragrance.

"Dove Original Fragrance is the result of listening to our community," said Dana Paolucci, Head of Engagement Marketing at Dove U.S., describing the launch as a tribute to consumers who have made the Beauty Bar part of their daily routines for generations.

The fragrance is being introduced through a one-time, limited-quantity social media drop. A waitlist opened on October 22, with sales starting October 27 at dovefragrance.com. The product sold out rapidly, and Dove said the product will not be restocked.
