The #Beauty2.0 Awards, celebrating beauty brands in the digital space were initiated by InnoCos Digital in 2013 in Paris and continued in London and New York through 2014 and 2015. This year for the first time the awards will take place in London and Los Angeles.
Voters are invited to pick their favourite and/or most effective brand in social media and online in general. Categories include best Twitter / Facebook / Pinterest or Instagram, best app, best YouTube channel, best use of the hashtag, best e-commerce website, best beauty startup, and overall best beauty brand online.
The #beauty 2.0 Awards are judged by a panel of industry experts drawn from the interactive media industry, including professionals specializing in media, gaming, design, digital marketing and app development. Judges hail from agencies, corporations and in 2016, beauty bloggers, including for instance : Anne Marie Lodge, @ReallyRee, Becky Amos, Editor, Average Janes, @tweetjanes, Grace Victory, Uglyfaceofbeauty, @GraceFVictory, Hayley Carr, London Beauty Queen, londonbeautyqueen.com, @LBQblog.
Each judge is assigned two categories that are within their specific area of expertise and experience. After the judging where committee will select the top 5 brands per category, voting will be open to the public and the winner will be determined based on 100% consumer’s vote.
“Beauty industry invests more and more in digital marketing with a main goal to get closer to the customer. They want us to Like & Love your brand. Thus why don’t we ask the customers who they love the most? Let’s give it a test! Such competition of global and local brands can be the reality check for beauty brands to show who they really like the most. Now who will receive the award this year? The battle is on,” said Irina Kremin, #beauty20 Awards organiser.
Finalists include brands such as NYX, Murad SkinCare, Laura Mercier Cosmetics, Mary Kay, MAC cosmetics, etc.
Awards ceremony will be held in London for the second time on October 6, 2016 and for the first time, in Los Angeles on November 3, 2016.
