Crodarom, the French subsidiary of the Croda Group specialising in the production of botanical extracts, is launching a first EUR 4.65 million investment program to expand its Chanac production site located in the Lozère department, in the South West of France. The project, scheduled to last two years, will concern the extension of the storage warehouse and laboratories, as well as the construction of a new administrative building.

A second EUR 2 million investment phase, scheduled as of 2021, will be initiated to expand and redesign the production area. The current Crodarom facilities cover almost 4,000m2 with a headcount of about 70 employees. Owing to the expansion project, the headcount will increase to 100 employees and the facilities will include an additional surface area of 2,200m2.

The project has been granted a EUR 580,000.00 subsidy from the Occitanie Region, the Lozère Departmental Council, the Aubrac-Lot-Causse and Chanac Area municipalities community.

"Our local and regional institutions1 are fully aware of Crodarom innovative potential. We are very grateful for this subsidy as it will significantly contribute to our activities, to employment and to the Lozère economic development," said Thierry Morin, Director of the Crodarom.
