The new data shows that KeraDyn HH, a non-quaternised conditioning agent created to restore healthy hair dynamics to damaged hair, is now proven to offer excellent conditioning properties in different hair types, with different types of damage, in addition to its healthy hair dynamics benefit.
By reducing inter-fibre friction and enhancing fibre alignment, KeraDyn HH was shown, through a Hair Dynamics test developed in conjunction with the Centre for Visual Computing at the University of Bradford, to improve the movement of damaged hair, returning it to a healthier performance.
Conditioning properties
In addition to this previous data, Croda has now demonstrated that KeraDyn HH has effective conditioning properties - as the only conditioning agent in the system and in synergy with commonly used quat systems. This data also reinforces the flexibility of KeraDyn HH to meet the global trend of “minimalistic” formulations, while delivering high-level performance to the hair.
“The performance testing and salon studies both show the efficacy of KeraDyn HH as the only conditioning agent in the system, included in the formulation in as little as 2%, as well as at 0.5 - 1% when used in combination with other conditioning agents. According to Croda, KeraDyn HH was also shown to support the creation of more cost-effective formulations, allowing formulators to save up to 40% on the base formulation cost with the inclusion of KeraDyn HH.
“KeraDyn HH is suitable and indicated for all hair types. It has been shown to be highly effective on damaged European hair, chemically straightened Latin American Hair and coloured Asian hair. It is compatible with commonly used quats, is cold processable and suitable for clear systems,” adds the company.
Investment plan of in Brazil
Croda also announces the continuation of its investment plans in Brazil. Its plant in Campinas, Sao Paulo, Brazil, which already has its production line, offices and its research center, will receive about $ 25 million in the coming months for expansion and growth in the region.
In particular, the company will invest in the development of new polymeric surfactant technologies and in new laboratories to support its applications, synthesis and development of products and in testing areas.
