Croda International has inked a collaborative partnership with Anomera, an innovative green chemistry Canadian company, based in Québec, focused on the development of high quality Carboxylated Cellulose Nanocrystals, which are converted into a micron sized powder.

The agreement has two parts. On the one hand, Croda becomes the exclusive distributor of Anomera’s materials in the personal care market. On the other hand, the two companies will jointly develop unique and innovative multifunctional ingredients to meet the beauty industry and consumer needs.

In the upcoming months, Croda will deliver the first step of the partnership by introducing the ChromaPur range to the Personal Care market. This new class of natural cellulose powders is based on an environmentally friendly process using Black Spruce Pulp sustainably harvested in Canadian forests.

Anomera’s philosophy and technology are perfectly aligned with Croda’s sustainability goals, which is committed to becoming Climate, Land and People Positive by 2030.

At Croda, we’re passionate about delivering ‘Smart Science to Improve Lives’. The technology in this case is doubly smart: smart in what it does, in terms of providing effects that consumers want in their beauty products; and smart in what it is - sustainably sourced, natural chemistry produced by an eco-friendly method. We’re excited to share this technology with our customers in 2021,” commented Jennifer Hart, Managing Director of Croda’s Beauty Effects business.
