Cosmoprof Worldwide Bologna will be held from 18 to 22 March 2021

The 53rd edition of Cosmoprof Worldwide Bologna will be held from 18 to 22 March 2021. Gathering over 3,000 exhibiting companies and 265,000 visitors from 150 different countries, the event had to be cancelled in 2020 due to the Covid-19 pandemic and replaced byWeCosmoprof - a digital event which held its first edition from 4 to 10 June, 2020.

The core of WeCosmoprof was the networking platform, Cosmoprof My Match, which allowed companies, buyers, retailers, and distributors to re-establish relationships with key players in the industry. Among other things, the platform featured messaging services and virtual rooms for exclusive video calls.

The digital event also featured a series of webinars:

– CosmoTalks - The Virtual Series involved over 50 speakers, including representatives of trend and design agencies, market research experts, managers of leading international companies, and media partners of the Cosmoprof network.
– Ten Cosmo Virtual Stage meetings offered an overview of the professional channel in Italy, with 15 experts who shared suggestions and indications for operators, struggling with the reopening of the activities.
– Furthermore, 15 selected exhibitors presented their novelties to the WeCosmoprof virtual audience.

According to the organizers, over 6,000 operators attended the live sessions.

"In these months we have never stopped our activities,” says Gianpiero Calzolari, President of BolognaFiere. “To face the forced lockdown, we implemented new business tools to keep giving voice to the excellence and quality of the cosmetic industry. Today a new phase is starting for us: we are working to our show scheduled for next spring, to offer international companies and operators a high-performance and content-rich event, in full compliance with the required safety standards."
