With international sanctions being revoked, the Iranian market is massively attracting beauty companies. Bologna Fiere Cosmoprof, the company behind Cosmoprof Worldwide Bologna, has seized this opportunity to get a foothold in the country and has organized the first Italian Pavilion at the Iran Beauty & Clean trade fair, in collaboration with Cosmetica Italia and Promos.
Seven Italian companies (Antica Erboristeria, Bottega Verde, Cosmoproject, ItalCosmetici, Oyster, Parisienne, Trivellato Dermocosmetics) attended the event, which was held in Teheran, from 24 to 27 April 2016.
“For Italian companies participating in the project it is a unique opportunity to enter the Iranian market, which thanks to recent international openings can offer important opportunities for economic development,” explained Bologna Fiere Cosmoprof. “Since 2002, the market has been liberalized and today represents good opportunities for both direct sales and partnerships with local industries.”
This initiative was part of the collaboration agreement signed by Bologna Fiere Group and the International Trade Fair in Teheran on May 2015.
With a young population of 70 million inhabitants, Iran represents 29% of the Middle-Eastern market for the cosmetics sector.
