The winners of the Cosmetic 360 Innovation Awards were announced on Wednesday, October 15, at the Carrousel du Louvre in Paris.

The Awards were presented across six categories. In addition, Special Jury Prize was presented to the zremarkable innovation overall—one that best reflected this year’s theme, PREDICTIONS.

The winners selected by the jury [1] are:

"Raw Materials" Category
Sparxell – for its natural pigments derived from cellulose
Sparxell has developed a cellulose-based pigment that provides a structural colour that reflects light. The start-up aims to offer a natural, biodegradable alternative to plastics, metals, and mica.

"Formulation" Category
Technature – for its colour-changing mask
Not only does Technature offer a natural hydrogel-based mask, but it also changes colour when it’s time to remove it, allowing for customized application time and maximizing the effectiveness of the ingredients. The opaque mask brightens to indicate that the active ingredients have penetrated the skin and there’s no need to extend its application.

"Testing & Analysis" Category
Brain Impact – for its functional MRI decoding decision markers
Brain Impact’s AI-powered neural analysis helps decode unconscious decisions, reduce launch risks, and thus promote commercial success. Through brain scanning and AI-based decoding of neural activity, it becomes possible to anticipate consumer behaviour by uncovering the unconscious processes behind their decisions.

Packaging & Packing Category
Nexdot – for its UV filter for transparent bottles
Applied to the exterior of the glass bottle, the Parelux coating protects semi-permanent nail polish from all light wavelengths. Protected from UV rays, the polish does not polymerize, and its shelf life is tailored to market expectations. The bottle itself remains perfectly transparent, allowing the customer to appreciate the product’s true colour and appearance.

Brands & Retail Category
Byome Labs – for its simple and rapid microbiological test for personalized recommendations
By analysing the microbiome in less than 2 minutes and without the need for a machine, Byome Labs offers a simple and rapid solution for highly personalized cosmetic product recommendations based on the analysis of each individual’s specific microbiome.

Manufacturing Process Category
Smey – for its yeast-derived oil
This ethical production process creates tailor-made lipids through precision fermentation optimized by Smey’s proprietary AI technology. Smey is the world’s first yeast “neobank”, with over 1,000 species and providing access to sustainable oil production. Smey’s AI predicts the oil content and profile of any yeast.

Special "Coup de Cœur" Jury Award
Cosmetopack – for its predictive model of content-container interactions
The Cosmetopack collaborative project, coordinated by Polymeris in partnership with Cosmetic Valley, is the result of years of research and analysis. This innovation predicts interactions between cosmetic formulas and their packaging, incorporating toxicological threshold selection and testing protocols. Its goal is to enhance the safety of plastic packaging used in cosmetic products.
