The latest edition of the Cosme Tokyo tradeshow, which was held from January 30 to February 1, 2019 at the Makuhari Messe, confirmed the event’s position as Japan’s largest cosmetics trade show. Welcoming 762 exhibitors from 30 countries and 25,627 visitors, the show broke another record regarding both the number of exhibitors and visitors.

These figures include exhibitors and attendants of the two co-held shows: Inner Beauty Tokyo, which focuses on beauty and health foods, and Cosme Tech, which covers all cosmetics development solutions like ingredients, OEM, packaging.

The three-day show featured all cosmetic product categories including skin care, hair and body care, natural and organic product, makeup, fragrance, men’s care, etc. “The exhibition halls were filled with exciting business talks between exhibitors and importers/buyers, who were genuinely excited to enhance their lineups with new overseas cosmetics,” said the organisers in a statement.

Next year, Cosme Tokyo will open its doors on 20-22 January 2020 at Makuhari Messe with 900 exhibitors, according to the organisers’ expectations. Furthermore, an Osaka extension of the event will be held on 09-11 September 2020 at INTEX Osaka with about 240 exhibitors and 12,000 visitors, according to the organisers.
