Clearcast, the authority which is responsible for pre-clearing TV ads for the UK’s largest commercial broadcasters, is running a cosmetics seminar on 31st October 2012.

In the UK, it is broadcasters’ responsibility that all ads transmitted are compliant with the Broadcast Committee of Advertising Practice (BCAP) TV Advertising Standards Code and most of them entrust this responsibility to Clearcast.

The course will deliver up to the minute guidance on skincare/cosmetics advertising in the UK and will review the rules, analyse ASA (Advertising Standards Authority) Adjudications and examine the requirements for claim support. On the day Clearcast will be joined by several industry experts: Dr Jack Ferguson (Clearcast cosmetic consultant), Dr Chris Flower (Cosmetic, Toiletry & Perfumery Association - CTPA) and Nick Hudson (ASA).
