Cinqpats’ new airless line displays several innovations based on technological inputs from Gaplast in Germany and Tirrit in China.

A high-performance pump

“The pump manufactured by Tirrit using a design from Cinqpats [1] can be considered as one of the most performing pumps on the market”, explains Jean-Louis Mathiez. “Its design allows an easy rise of product with little loss of energy. So it can dispense very viscous products or products with a sticky texture or even reasonably heterogeneous products...”

An actuator at the end of which is fitted a closure system is under development.

A very technical pocket bottle

The process implemented for the production of the co-extruded bottle (patented by Gaplast) helps keeping the inner pouch attached to two fixed points, at the top and bottom of the bottle, so the pouch contracts itself evenly avoiding product blockage. Hence, it guarantees a evacuation rate close to 100% with constant dosage from beginning to end.

Gaplast has also developed and patented an industrial process consisting in the drilling holes in the outer bottle, preferably hidden under the collar, to help atmospheric pressure naturally shrinks the pouch during operation.

After the bottle is blown a machine provokes a detachment of the inner pouch to guarantee the end user a fast priming of the pump. Eventually on the same machine, a re-positioning of the pocket is operated with a full control of internal bulk and air tightness.

A carefully designed assembly

The pump-collar-actuator-cover set is assembled by the means of clips including a little trick to optimizes the filling costs. Once fitted to the bottle, it is totally impossible to remove the pump, which guarantees the airless quality of the product and avoids contamination, especially in the case of organic or paraben free products.

Customization

A 30 ml bottle is already available in industrial production, a 15 and 50 ml bottles will be available early 2010, and the range will be completed by mid-2010 with 100ml and 200 ml sizes and 2x15 ml and 2x50 ml duos.

There are many customization possibilities. “With Tirrit, explains Jean-Louis Mathiez, we can easily adapt the shape and technical characteristics of the pump to specific products. With Gaplast, we take advantage of the flexible multi-layer technology which allows to render various aesthetic effects on the outer layer (glossy, transparent, soft ,...) and to obtain exceptional barrier properties of the pouch. With our cosmetic partners we can even offer a full service option with atmospheric or vacuum filling”.
