From ingredients to packaging via retailing solutions up to finished products, China Beauty Expo (CBE) brought together the whole beauty industry during its retail, supply chain, and Advance Science and Innovation summits but also 3 days of trade exhibition from May 20th to May 22nd in Shanghai, China.

Asian brands under the spotlight

Thailand was this year the "country of honour" and welcomed an increased number of exhibitors, with the presence of 50 Thai brands including the very popular Mistine.

Japan was also on the rise, with a quadruple number of exhibitors accounting more than 300 companies at the show with Shiseido, Kose, and Kao group for instance.

K-Beauty (Korean Beauty) was also a major highlight of the show with an important presence on the finished product as well as the supply side with Cosmax among the most sought-after booths.

International brands dominated nearly 50% of exhibition space at CBE this year, which is expected to see an unprecedented boom in imported brands in the Chinese beauty market during the coming years. This year’s international presence included France, Spain, USA, Italy, Germany, and Britain, with L’Oréal and P&G amongst other major players.
