Chanel celebrates a rebel Gabrielle and announces a new fragrance

All along 2017, the French fashion house will celebrate her founder Gabrielle Chanel through her first name.

Karl Lagerfeld has dedicated a bag to her, Chanel’s Gabrielle that he created last October for the Spring/Summer 2017 collection. Furthermore, the House will also be launching, in the autumn of 2017, a fragrance called Gabrielle Chanel, created by Olivier Polge.

The name Gabrielle will also provide the inspiration for four films to be discovered and watched on the Inside Chanel website, around the themes of rebellion, freedom, passion and allure.

Her audacity, her thirst for freedom, her irreverence, Gabrielle made these the source of inspiration and the birthplace of her creativity. Avant-garde to the depths of her soul, she would invent a style and look, revolutionize fashion before shaking up the traditional codes of jewellery and fragrance,” explains the company in a release.

The film Gabrielle, a rebel at heart thus offers new insights into Gabrielle Chanel the woman and the creations that made her legendary.
