G. Candiani, a specialist in the creation, design and production of plastic products for the perfume and cosmetics markets, offers its customers both custom made jars, bottles and caps, and a wide range of standard cream jars made with Surlyn.
Almost 200 standard designs
"As a specialist in plastic injection moulding, we have used Surlyn for many years for the manufacturing of both perfume caps and our range of standard cream jars. The resin provides freedom of design while meeting the varied technical requirements of each project. It also helps us to offer new options; we now have almost 200 versions available, some with extremely complex shapes,” explains Carlo Candiani, Director of the company.
To address the aesthetic and technical constraints for the production of cream jars, Candiani has chosen the Surlyn PC 2000 resin.
The glass-like appearance of Surlyn gives each pack a luxurious feel, even in high thicknesses; this is the principal requirement for Candiani cream jars, which are positioned as top-of-the-range products that follow the latest market trends. This visual aesthetics are enhanced by the tactile qualities of the resin, which gives the surface a soft, silky and sensual feel.
As the Surlyn resin does not break or even chip and is scratch-resistant, it is increasingly used in the growing market for so-called nomadic products, often carried in handbags or luggage.
Customisation
Candiani uses the flexibility of the Surlyn resin to create personalised packaging from the same standard material, thus supporting the expression of each unique brand identity.
Thanks to the wide range of decorative effects (hot stamping, traditional screen printing and UV) and surface finishes available, it is possible to create many different customised effects matching the specific needs of each customer.
G.Candiani has presented its creations during the latest Luxe Pack Monaco tradeshow and will also showcase it during the next Cosmopack show in Bologna, from the 14th to the 17th of March 2019.
