The neuroscience-inspired fragrance brand known for its clean, wellness-driven candle collection, is expanding into personal fragrance with the launch of Scent of Nirvana Perfume Oil.
The brand’s first-ever roll-on format transforms its signature scent into a skin-nourishing, on-the-go ritual, designed with ingredients studied for their ability to “lower cortisol levels” and “promote a sense of calm.”
Founded in 2023 by Shreya Aggarwal, a former fragrance buyer at Dermstore, Caftari was born from her search for natural ways to manage anxiety and her belief that scent rituals should support emotional well-being as much as they delight the senses.
“Our community has been asking for this since day one,” says Shreya Aggarwal, Founder of Caftari. “People would wear the scent straight from our candles. We wanted to create a version that felt intentional, clean, and luxurious, a way to carry calm with you everywhere.”
Scent of Nirvana blends oudh, patchouli, and amber notes, botanicals studied for their stress-reducing properties, with skin-loving jojoba oil, vitamin E, and antioxidants for a soft, lasting finish. The formula is crafted without synthetic fillers, parabens, or phthalates, aligning with clean beauty standards while delivering both luxury and function.
Research has linked agarwood aromatherapy (the source of oudh) with improved sleep quality and reduced anxiety scores in clinical studies, as well as increased alpha brainwave activity, often associated with relaxation and mental clarity.
According to the brand, the fragrance is perfect for post-yoga rituals, stressful commutes, or evening wind-downs.
“Expanding into personal fragrance is a milestone for Caftari,” Aggarwal adds. “It allows us to bring our functional, sensory approach to wellness into even more moments of our customers’ lives.”
Looking ahead, Aggarwal sees fragrance as central to the brand’s innovation strategy: “We see fragrance as more than just scent, it’s a tool for emotional balance. Our goal is to continue innovating at the intersection of science and self-care, creating rituals that nurture both the mind and the senses.”
The new Scent of Nirvana Perfume Oil was launched on October 14, 2025, exclusively at Credo Beauty (US$28) for one month before expanding to additional retailers nationwide.
