The French Bogart Group (Jacques Bogart, Ted Lapidus, Carven, April, DI Drugstores, HC Parfümerie, etc.) has announced the sale of 100% of its Israeli subsidiary, April Cosmetics and Perfumes Store Chain Ltd, to April Holding D.K. Ltd., a company owned by Bogart Chairman and CEO and majority shareholder David Konckier. Approved by the board of directors on October 12, 2026, the transaction is intended to strengthen the group’s financial position and improve resource allocation.

The sale was carried out by Jacques Bogart International B.V., a wholly owned subsidiary of Bogart SA, for 20.147 million Israeli shekels (approximately EUR 5.8 million). The price was calculated based on a valuation of April Ltd. at 35 million shekels (approximately EUR 10 million), established with the assistance of PwC and BDO, less the company’s net financial debt. As of September 1, 2026, April’s net financial debt stood at 14.853 million shekels (approximately EUR 4.3 million).

Operating a network of 47 stores in Israel as of June 30, 2026, April generated EUR 36.7 million in revenue in 2025, accounting for approximately 13.9% of Bogart’s consolidated revenue. Its EBITDA amounted to EUR 0.7 million.

The divestment is part of the group’s ongoing review of its international subsidiary structure and investment portfolio. It is also expected to facilitate the transfer of cash to Bogart SA.

Given David Konckier’s interest in the transaction, the sale was subject to the regulated agreements procedure. He informed the board of directors of his interest and did not take part in the vote.

David Konckier is also in discussions with Hong Kong-based conglomerate CK Hutchison, in order to acquire the Marionnaud perfume retail chain.
