Premium Beauty News - Berlin Packaging Beauty’s presence in the EMEA region is fairly recent. How did it evolve?
Vivien Charrey - We have pursued our growth through carefully targeted takeovers, notably adding the Italian companies Premi in 2021 and Cosmei in 2025. This latest acquisition is particularly strategic: located in the heart of Italy’s Cosmetic Valley, it significantly strengthens our portfolio, especially in the makeup category.
Premium Beauty News - Will these external growth initiatives continue?
Vivien Charrey - Absolutely. We intend to pursue acquisitions where we see an opportunity to reinforce our presence in the region. Our goal is to become a true one-stop shop for packaging, with a focus on full packaging. At the same time, we are also developing organic growth programs to further enrich our offer.
Premium Beauty News - So, what exactly is your value proposition for brands today?
Vivien Charrey - Our offering spans a very wide spectrum. We manage both standard and custom solutions, including fully bespoke developments. We also have strong decoration capabilities, which enable a high level of personalization.
In the fragrance category, where major glassmakers lead the market, we differentiate ourselves through decoration and accessories. In skincare, we focus heavily on semi-custom solutions, pairing tailored accessories with advanced decorative options. In makeup, however, we have a strong foothold in fully bespoke packaging, particularly through Cosmei.
Premium Beauty News - You serve both very small and very large volumes. How is this agility structured?
Vivien Charrey - This is one of Berlin Packaging Beauty’s core strengths: we can support product launches at both very large and very small volumes. Our Stockmetics platform is central to this flexibility, giving brands access to small quantities directly from stock. We also plan to extend the platform to additional product categories.
Premium Beauty News - What is your industrial model?
Vivien Charrey - Our industrial model combines the strengths of both a manufacturer and a distributor, with a strong focus on design and innovation. Thanks to our global supply chain and logistics, we are able to serve all market segments with every type of packaging. Berlin Packaging positions itself as a “Hybrid Packaging Supplier”
Premium Beauty News - What are your geographical development priorities?
Vivien Charrey - We are now very well established in the UK. We want to continue strengthening our presence in Spain, in France and in the Middle East. We are also targeting the Scandinavian countries and closely monitoring opportunities in Eastern Europe, where we have already acquired Sarom in Romania.
In parallel, our sourcing is global: largely in Asia — China, India — but also in Poland, particularly for glass and decoration, and in Italy for injection molding, molding, and decoration. Our strategy is to ensure dual sourcing for all our products, guaranteeing maximum reliability for our customers.
Premium Beauty News - What are your main strengths today?
Vivien Charrey - Our main strengths lie in our integrated expertise across skincare, fragrance and makeup — further enhanced by the acquisition of Cosmei. We turn each brand’s identity into a concrete experience through a full-custom Customer Journey that guides clients from idea to prototype. With rapid development, tailored customization and 24-hour prototyping on our standard models, we offer the agility and scalability the beauty market demands.
Premium Beauty News - In a few words, how would you summarize Berlin Packaging Beauty’s mission today?
Vivien Charrey - Our mission is to provide brands with a complete, end-to-end solution—from primary packaging and customization to rapid prototyping, storage, industrial agility, and international support. In short, we strive to be the partner that can take a brand from idea to global scale.
