Aptar Beauty expands its range of all-plastic cosmetic pumps

Aptar Beauty expands its Advance Collection, a new generation of all-plastic pumps designed to maximize recyclability.

Optimized recyclability

First introduced in 2025, the Advance range represents a new generation of dispensing solutions designed to be compatible with major plastic recycling streams while preserving the iconic design, dispensing performance and consumer experience of Aptar Beauty’s best-selling products. Building on the recent launches of the GSA Advance dispensing pump and the PZ Advance spray pump, the Novus Advance cosmetic pump brings this innovative all-polyolefin platform to hair and body care.

Like the other components in the Advance collection, the new Novus Advance pump is made entirely from polyolefin resins [1].

Novus Advance thus features an innovative full-polyolefin cartridge combining Polypropylene (PP) and Polyethylene (PE), making it fully recyclable in the Polyethylene Terephthalate (PET) and PE streams, when paired with a High-Density PE, PP or PET bottle. Other sustainable attributes include a POM-free design also capable of integrating Post-Consumer Recycled Resin (PCR).

A versatile pump

Designed with a robust bellow technology located outside of the dosage chamber, Novus Advance offers a consistent dispensing of medium doses (500 μl and 350 μl) while ensuring broad compatibility with most formulations, even with short chain alkanes. This high-performing pump adapts from low to high viscosities, for oils, creams, and serums across body, sun, and hair care applications. However, as with all primary packaging, Aptar Beauty recommends conducting compatibility tests with the formulas.

The twist-to-lock mechanism and cap-free design ensure an easy, effortless and secure opening and closing of the pump.

Furthermore, Novus Advance has passed Aptar Beauty’s rigorous in-house ISTA-6 testing protocols for omnichannel packaging needs, guaranteeing it withstands the unique challenges of e-commerce shipping [2].
