ANJAC Health & Beauty is taking a new step forward in cosmetic innovation. At the Cosmetic 360 trade show in Paris this week, the French group will unveil Biodis+, a high-pressure homogenization (HPH) nanoemulsion technology.

By passing formulations through a high-pressure system, this technology reduces particle size and produces exceptionally stable nanoemulsions.

Enhanced efficacy and sensoriality

According to ANJAC, Biodis+ Technology optimizes the vectorization of active ingredients, thus improving the penetration of active ingredients and measurably enhancing the efficacy of formulas. The high-pressure homogenization process also ensures superior dispersion, resulting in nanoemulsions with increased stability and premium sensory qualities, featuring fine, fluid, and silky textures.

Biodis+ Technology offers broad applicability in cosmetics, spanning skincare, haircare, and makeup. At Cosmetic360, ANJAC Health & Beauty is showcasing its innovations in two focus areas: Biodis+ Care and Biodis+ Sun.

The Biodis+ Care nanoemulsion is designed to encapsulate active ingredients with proven skin benefits, such as hydration and anti-aging, while optimizing their penetration into the epidermis. According to ANJAC, this enhanced delivery enables the actives to perform more effectively, boosting the overall efficacy of the formulations.

At Cosmetic360, ANJAC will unveil the Surgery Skincare collection, featuring two skincare products formulated with a hyaluronic acid nanoemulsion. Tests have shown these products increase the concentration of active ingredients in the epidermis by 17%, with deeper penetration into the underlying layers of the skin.

This technology also enables the incorporation of hydrophilic ingredients into anhydrous makeup formulas, while delivering superior sensory qualities—light, fluid, and melt-in textures that blend seamlessly with the skin for a smoother, more even finish.

The Biodis+ Sun solution, meanwhile, significantly enhances the sun protection of formulations without increasing the concentration of UV filters, while also improving their sensory profile. According to ANJAC, this technology makes it possible to achieve SPF 50+ protection with a reduced amount of filters, delivering both high performance and an optimized sensory experience. [1]

Industrial equipment

To fully exploit the potential of nanoemulsions, ANJAC relies on two industrial high-pressure homogenization lines capable of producing batches of up to several tons, as well as two pilot lines for rapid and agile development.

Thanks to its industrial capabilities, ANJAC is able to design and develop solutions tailored to all needs — from rapid market launch via ready-to-use formulas to exclusive, customized nanoemulsions.

By mastering the parameters of this technology, ANJAC’s teams are able to develop stable, homogeneous formulas — even with complex or lipid-rich phases — while exploring new textures such as ultra-fluid skincare products and alcohol-free aqueous fragrances. This expertise opens the door to a broad range of applications, from dermocosmetics to perfumery and makeup.

With Biodis+, we provide brands with ready-to-use, tested, and fully industrializable nanoemulsions that enable them to launch new product lines in as little as six months. We also co-develop customized formulas — either to amplify a specific benefit sought by the brand or to incorporate their signature ingredients into exclusive nanoemulsions. From skincare and dermocosmetics to makeup and perfumery, this technology serves as a powerful driver of differentiation and innovation for our clients,” explains Anne Rutigliano, Marketing and Innovation Director at the ANJAC Group.
