Fresh forest fibres grown in sustainably managed forests, low weight and high strength, all the beautycare grades offered by Metsä Board, including Carta Allura, Carta Elega, Carta Integra, Carta Solida, Avanta Prima, and Modo Northern Light, have been designed to address the more stringent aesthetical and ethical concerns.
“The challenges of packaging keep multiplying. A range of global consumer megatrends - including concern for the environment, online shopping and increased customisation - are driving new requirement for packaging,” explains Christophe Baudry, Commercial Director Beautycare & Healthcare, Metsä Board. “Combining high-quality graphics with the option to do short production runs, litholamination provides a good answer to these new requirements,” he adds.
Besides high printing and graphic performances, the entire liner range (Carta Solida, Modo Northern Light Litho, Carta Selecta, Modo Northern Light, Kemiart Graph+) offers a super-light weight and the same strength characteristics as heavier materials.
“They are optimal for end-uses such as high-end retail and consumer packaging - especially small and lightweight packs and the inner packaging structures of high quality perfumes and cosmetics,” concludes Christophe Baudry.
