US group Aceto Corporation, a global leader in the marketing, sale and distribution of speciality chemicals for the pharmaceutical and nutraceutical industries, and for the agriculture, has recently acquired Inter’actifs, a distributor of ingredients to the cosmetics and personal care industries, through its wholly-owned French subsidiary, Aceto France SAS.
Incorporated in 1947, Aceto distributes over 1,100 chemical compounds with a turnover of approximately 500 million US dollars worldwide.
“This strategic investment will expand the scope of our Specialty Chemicals business in Europe,” commented Salvatore Guccione, Aceto CEO.
Concretly, Inter’actifs is now becoming the Aceto’s Cosmetic Ingredients branch in Europe, but will continue to operate as a separate entity. Cécile Nayl, founder and President of Inter’actifs, is joining Aceto as Director, Cosmetics and Personal Care Products-Europe. Inter’actifs whole sales team is also joining Aceto.
