Beiersdorf’s third-quarter 2026 results highlighted contrasting performances across its skincare portfolio, with double-digit growth in Derma and a strong rebound at La Prairie offset by continued pressure on Nivea. The group’s net sales reached EUR 2.36 billion, down 1.3% organically in the July-September period, compared with a 2.3% decline in the second quarter. In the first nine months, Beiersdorf net sales reached EUR 7.3 billion, representing an organic decline of 2.8%.
Derma delivers double-digit growth
Beiersdorf’s Derma business, comprising Eucerin and Aquaphor, remained a key growth driver, with organic sales increasing by 10.6% in the third quarter. Growth was broad-based across regions and categories.
In North America, Aquaphor’s expansion into body care made a strong start. Eucerin continued to build on its scientific expertise with the launch of Dermopure Clinical Probiom8, a new solution for acne-prone skin based on a patented cosmetic active ingredient and the brand’s microbiome research.
Over the first nine months of 2026, Derma sales grew by 8.7% organically to EUR 1.24 billion, confirming the segment’s strong momentum.
La Prairie gains momentum in China
La Prairie also improved its performance, recording 8.5% organic sales growth in the third quarter. China remained the main growth driver, helping the luxury skincare brand regain momentum after a difficult first half.
In September, La Prairie introduced Swiss Pristine, an entry-level line designed to attract a younger generation of consumers and support selective distribution expansion. Despite the third-quarter recovery, nine-month sales remained down 2.2% organically, at EUR 342 million.
Nivea remains under pressure
Nivea and Labello recorded a 4.9% organic sales decline in the third quarter, although this represented an improvement from the 6.7% decline reported in the second quarter. Sales to retailers continued to be affected by trade-related tensions and destocking, which Beiersdorf expects to gradually ease by year-end.
According to the company, the brand’s repositioning measures are beginning to gain traction. Nevertheless, Nivea’s performance remains a significant challenge for the group. Over the first nine months, the brand’s organic sales fell by 6.2% to EUR 3.97 billion.
Full-year guidance confirmed
Beiersdorf confirmed its full-year 2026 outlook, anticipating a low-single-digit organic sales decline for both the Consumer business segment and the group.
While Derma and La Prairie provide positive growth momentum, the recovery of Nivea remains central to Beiersdorf’s near-term performance, in particular as the group also faces pressure at its tesa adhesives business.
