Boris Schaefer joins TNT Global Manufacturing as Vice President Sales, USA.

TNT Global Manufacturing, a designer, developer and manufacturer of high quality metal (zamak, aluminium, brass, stainless steel) and plastic components for the perfume, cosmetics and makeup industry (caps, shells, decorative plates, luxury boxes and cosmetic applicators’ components), recently opened a sales office in the United States.

TNT Global Manufacturing founders Thomas Diezinger and Toby Cattermole have entrusted Boris Schaefer for the development of the North American market. Boris has been appointed Vice President Sales USA.

Boris Schaefer, 47, graduated in International Management at the University of Applied Sciences, Wiesbaden, Germany and learned the trade of tool making. He holds a broad spectrum of technical, marketing & commercial skills and has significant experience in the world of materials: - Metal, plastic, cardboard – dedicated to the beauty industry. He was successively Director Customer Relations at Seidel GmbH, Key Account Manager at MWV Germany, and Executive Director Sales at Neopac Inc. His mission is to develop close and trustful relationships with American brands owners.

The US market has different expectations, compared to the European market and it is important for us to provide a bespoke service. As activities in Europe and Asia are increasing fast, it was natural to establish ourselves in the USA,” explained the co-founders of TNT Global Manufacturing.

TNT Global Manufacturing reported a turnover of USD 14 million in 2016 and employs 13 people, in Paris, Hong Kong and New-York.

Among their latest achievements, TNT Global Manufacturing has developed the decorative cap’s plate of Viking, the latest perfume for men, designed by the perfumer Olivier Creed.

The plate is made of zamak with a white bronze finish. It has been engraved with the logo and pad printed in red. The project required to combine the pattern of the logo and the constraints of the zamak, to reveal the details and finesse of the engraving. TNT Global Manufacturing further encountered two other challenges: the pad printing thickness on a curved surface, and the perfect alignment with the logo.
