Laurent Chevallier, the new Managing Director of Axilone since January, will not run short of challenges. Indeed, 2014 is a turning year for the metalloplastic division of the Ileos Group.

The investments engaged in 2013 will see the light this year: in the French plastic plant, where the new varnish and metallization line and the automatic assembly workshop must be operational in the first quarter; in Spain, where a new metal stamping factory is under construction. Besides the pursuit of the group external growth to strengthen its global presence and extend its offer through the search for complementarities.

Laurent Chevallier’s mission is to lead Axilone to excellence, will have to consolidate the 2013 investments, the know-how and thus to offer to customers a global integrated solution.

Aged 43, graduated from ESCP, Laurent Chevallier already knows these issues and this industry with 12 years of experience in the packaging sector, first at Sidel (Tetra Laval Group) as General Manager of the Labeling Division and then at SGD, where he was the CEO of VG Emballage and a member of the SGD Executive Committee.

Thanks to a global presence (in the USA, China, Spain and France), Axilone is for 50 years a major player in its sector. Its expertise encompasses the plastic injection and aluminum stamping entire processes: design, molding, manufacturing, assembling and all types of finishes and decorations: anodizing, plating, painting, pad printing, hot stamping, engraving... Its product range: lipstick, collars, caps and other closure solutions.
