Spanish supplier of wood packaging components Pujolasos has just opened a new assembly plant in Torelló, near Barcelona. “This plant will be devoted to assembling high quality wood products for luxury markets, like those required for the cosmetic and fragrance sectors,” the company announced.
This expansion has entailed a 1700 m2 extension to built-up land, an increase in employed personnel, and new automatic machines.
Through these investments, which also include improvements in quality and storage processes and an overall upgrade of facilities, Pujolasos aims to reduce lead-times, and increase products variety. “This will allow us to assemble with materials aside from wood. Not only plastic, but metal, aluminum, ABS, rubber, fur, magnets, mechanisms… a revolution in the industry," told Angel Pujolasos, the company’s CEO.
The first production carried out in the new plant was a standard makeup range (lipstick, gloss, mascara, lotion pack, compacts and nail polish).
