MakeUp in Paris is a must that is making its mark,” said the organisers of the show dedicated to the makeup industry.

Indeed, the third edition of Make Up in Paris hosted more than 2,100 visitors, up 13% over the previous year, according to the organisers. As usual, marketing teams come out in the top positions with a rate of 35%, followed by R&D and Sales teams.

The organisers particularly welcomed the strong rise in the number of foreign visitors: +45% over 2011. “They come from everywhere and ... from far! Many Americans (+ 75%), more and more Germans (+ 65%), of Spaniards (+ 45%), English (+ 31%), Belgians (+37%) of Swiss (+ 14%)... but also visitors from countries totally new to this event like Paraguay, Taiwan, Bolivia, Peru, Chile, Ukraine.... Visitors from China, Japan and South Korea had also made the trip.”

Overall, more than 40 countries were represented this year against 29 in 2011. A figure that should consolidate MakeUp in Paris in its ambition to be the leading B2B make-up event in Europe.
