The event’s organisers chose to place this new edition of MakeUp in New York under the sign of innovation and trends with a new animation, the Innovation Tree Products, that will reveal new products presented by exhibitors and selected by a committee compound of experts in formulation, packaging, full service and accessories.

Albéa’s tattoo jewellery!

For its participation in MakeUp in NewYork this year, cosmetics packaging supplier Albéa has set up a Beauty Bar where famous professional makeup artist Jody Formica will offer free makeup sessions with easy-to-use temporary tattoos, for a fun, trendy and bohemian touch! Albéa and Jody Formica will also showcase the latest beauty innovations in make-up, including false lashes, eyebrow and mascara brushes.

“Icons of Beauty” exhibition

For the third time MakeUp in NewYork will invite its exhibitors and visitors to discover a unique exhibition, The Art of Beauty, featuring vintage cosmetics and make-up objects from the Camilli and Hattemberg collection, and organized by Le Musée à la Carte.

The CEW (Cosmetics Executive Women) Association in the spotlight

This year, members of the CEW - a non-profit, professional organization with more than 8,000 members worldwide from 2,250 companies in the beauty industry - will be offered a private visit of the show that will give them and the exhibitors a unique opportunity to meet in a quiet and exclusive environment.

The FIT (Fashion Institute of Technology) on stage!

Once again, MakeUp in New York is teaming up with the students of the cosmetics and fragrance marketing program of the Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT). Virginia Bonofiglio and her students will present a history of American make-up from the 1920s to the 1980s, with a video presentation along with several period-inspired makeup looks on models. The presentation will take place on Wednesday, September 9th, in the conference room, from 10:15 am to 10:45 am.
