After having launched Actigym at In Cosmetics 2014, Lipotec confirms its interest in the slimming actives market with the launch of Nocturshape, an exopolysaccharide obtained from a planktonic microorganism.

The active is based on circadian rhythms and the genes CLOCK and BMAL 1,involved in this process, as well as on a protein, the nocturine, that is expressed nightly.

In vitro tests show an increase in lipolysis (+34%), lower rates of nocturine (-23.3%), of lipid accumulation in adipocytes (-37.4%), and the stimulation of collagen synthesis in fibroblasts for a toning effect.

Results of in vivo tests confirm the active’s effectiveness after a 30-day treatment and a daily application. The reduction in thighs was of -1.1 cm with a Nocturshape concentration of 2% and -1.5 cm with a 4% concentration). The improvement of cellulite appearance was also visible.

Finally, Lipotec also adds that this new active meets the requirements of the Chinese regulations.
