A supplier already recognized as a specialist of exfoliating ingredients for cosmetics, Lessonia now offers an integrated natural sterilisation of its cosmetic exfoliating ingredients and powders. A new technological stage for this French company headquartered near Brest, in Brittany.
Based on a heat treatment this system, avoids gamma ray treatments. Thus it is compatible, claims Lessonia, “with all certifications of reference required in ecological and biological cosmetics (ECOCERT, BDIH, Soil Association, NOP, USDA, Natrue, COSMOS etc.).”
With a suitable combination of temperature, pressure, steam and exposition of the products, sterile ingredients are achieved. During the sterilisation, the technical properties and organic quality attributes of the ingredients remain protected.
This new sterilisation procedure enables formulating natural and biological ingredients in amounts fitting with the needs of the cosmetics industry (up to 2000 kg/day).
